LCA Energy Management Solutions offers a variety of Software Solutions to help manage electricity consumption data and minimize costs associated with Electricity.

Power monitoring 

LCA Power Monitoring modules allows you to centralize data and generate a wide variety of reports including load profiles, peak demand analysis, load duration curves, aggregated load analysis, departmental usage analysis and much more.  Data may be gathered historically (or in real time where available) from both Utility (or check) meters, sub meters and third party data bases including Pi.   The result is centralized data that may be aggregated and viewed as desired by a variety of users.

Automatic Demand Management

LCA offers an advance Demand Management module that allows energy users to reduce load automatically using a pre-determined strategy whenever it is financially beneficial to do so.  Our load control module has been used by customers to reduce monthly demand related electricity charges, ensure compliance of Demand Response requirements, manage dispatchable load actives and minimize demand to avoid 5CP coincidental peak charges.

Electricity Bill Verification 

LCA offers a powerful Electricity Bill Verification module the allows large users to verify their electricity bills by individual line item and automatically flag an problems with the bill.  Large users can save hundreds of thousands of dollars annually simply by verifying electricity bills. Our Bill Verification solution can also break out the bill by department or individual (or aggregated) sub metering for departmental billing. Accounting departments also benefit from having the billing information available quickly (usually before the IESO/ISO produces a bill) so they can use the numbers provided for electricity cost budgeting in accordance with their accounting calendar month.

Dispatch Bidding & Compliance Reporting

LCA has a sophisticated Dispatch Bidding Modules that can save hours and hours of leg work when participating in the Operating Reserve Market in Ontario. Bid compliance reporting is also built into this package.

Ontario Global Adjustment Notification & Reporting

LCA has created a unique software package that helps large power users avoid setting high peaks at times when the Ontario System Demand is high.  The Global Adjustment Charge is now a significant part of the electricity costs. Ontario electricity customers with a load over 5MW have the opportunity to pro-actively reduce load when a new Provincial Peak is occurring.  By reducing load at the right time, their contribution to the peak is reduced, thereby reducing the Global Adjustment Charge.  Significant savings can be achieved.
